The footballing world have been quick to pay their respects on Twitter following the announcement of his death.

The ex-Premier League star was involved in a collision after dropping his children off at school on Monday morning, Trinidad and Tobago's football association said.

'According to reports, Jlloyd was returning home after dropping his kids off to school and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
