North Korea on Thursday threatened to stall the denuclearization of its missile program if the US continues to abide by an "outdated acting script" amid Washington's calls to enforce sanctions against the regime.
Pyongyang's state media has highlighted it has made goodwill gestures, such as a moratorium on nuclear and missile tests, the dismantling of a nuclear site, and the return of the remains of USA soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War. Those followed contentious remarks last week by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho on the sidelines of a regional summit in Singapore.
The statement accused United States diplomats of "baseless allegations" against North Korea.
"The U.S. should, even at this belated time, respond to our honest efforts in a corresponding manner", the ministry said.
The two sides vowed to work towards North Korea's denuclearisation but have struggled to reach a deal to meet that goal, with the United States insisting sanctions pressure must be maintained during negotiations.

USA officials, according to North Korea, "are making baseless allegations against us and making desperate attempts at intensifying the global sanctions", against what they believe to be Trump's intentions to better relations between the two countries.
